Local Activation: Solving for 3-Tier Compliance

Brewers, wineries, and distilleries face challenges when running ads for their brands in the U.S due to a 3-tiered structure comprised of Brand, Distributor, and Retailers, and this structure’s associated legalities. Brands are prohibited from directly advertising their retailers or from paying for advertising for their local retailers. Packaged cocktail brand, BuzzBallz, sought to increase sales of its signature party drink while also driving traffic and sales for its retailers. BuzzBallz needed a method to promote their drink and drive retailer sales while adhering to regulations and maintaining a level playing field in the marketplace.
